of course you got ripped because who doesnt get ripped on ebay? i got mine from bomp for $10 and it was well worth it!! this recording is not crude at all. it is a historical document! yes, the recording quality may not be the best but it shows how good the runaways were after being a band for only a few days!! it also shows how much the runaways changed and developed into stardom. remember that kim fowley didn't even HAVE TO release this, so i say kudos to fowley
Born To Be Bad was milked for everything they could get by releasing it with four different album covers to make the release more collectible. The first album cover prominently featured an unknown girl in a corset and was released on vinyl and CD. Sound familiar, like something Kim would do? The second album cover featured Micki, Sandy and Joan and the third album cover just featured a live shot of Joan. Both were released on CD. The fourth album cover also only featured Joan, but was released on 10" red vinyl only. All the Born To Be Bad album covers are shown on this site except for the first one.

I like this LP, even if this is an abuse to call it "The Runaways" !
For instance, "S-P-E-E-D-Y M-E-T-A-L" and "I wanna run with the bad boys" are typically good Suzi-Quattro-like good songs...
